One of the primary business-to-business suppliers of frames in the UK, Centrado has grown over the years and, in 2015, required a new ecommerce site which would integrate with their internal SAP system. One specific challenge of this project was that, with over 8000 products, 6000 customers, and numerous suppliers, they used a carefully-designed set of pricing matrices that meant every client could have a unique price allocated to them for every product and every volume break point. This price could and would change on a weekly basis dependent on supply location worldwide. It effectively meant that the database needed to regularly update around 7 million entries, with no interruption to customer services. The project was successfully delivered in 2015 and has run consistently ever since, despite undergoing a major visual rebrand and, following Brexit, a separate EU-based variant of the website in Germany.
